Where Does Your Drinking Water Come From?
Water is a precious resource. Drought is common in California and will likely increase in severity due to climate change. We are all in this together; let's play our part to make sure that clean water will always be available now and in the future.
Solano County residents receive their fresh water from a variety of sources depending on their location and the time of year.

Solano Resource Conservation District works with Solano County residents to protect and conserve water. We can help you:
- Discover how to protect our local water resources through school field trips and teacher trainings
- Collaborate with your community at cleanup events or native planting days to help improve our waterways and create wildlife habitat
- Improve groundwater and surface water quality on your land or farm
- Keep our waterways clean and healthy by distributing oil absorbents to boaters
California needs EVERYONE to help protect our water resources!
- Pick up after your pets
- Participate in a cleanup or a planting event
- Be wise with water and conserve whenever you can
- Dispose of trash properly and reduce, reuse, recycle everything you can
- Protect ground and surface water by maintaining and recycling used oil in motorized vehicles and vessels
- Spread the word, share what you've learned with friends and family
Water is a valuable resource.
Let's work together to conserve it.
