Dixon - Valley Glen Drainage Pond
Where: 1755 Parkway Blvd, Dixon.
Hours & Fees: The park is open daily from sunrise to sunset. There is street parking.
Valley Glen Drainage Pond is a 2.1 mile loop in Dixon that is great for trail running and birding. Filled by stormwater runoff from the City of Dixon, the pond provides important habitat for water fowl, kestrels, kites, burrowing owls, and meadowlarks.
Great For: Flat trail walking, jogging, nature viewing, and birding.

Did You Know? This basin is designed so that stormwater flows through the basin before being discharged into drainage channels. By slowing down stormwater as it moves through the basin, Valley Glen Pond allows sediment and other pollutants to drop out of the water column, greatly improving water quality.
