Wildfire Resources for Solano County Residents

With help from our partners at Solano County, Solano County Water Agency, Natural Resources Conservation Service, and National Association of Conservation Districts, Solano RCD staff respond to landowner inquiries regarding post-fire resource concerns such as vegetation response, erosion, flooding, and fuel management. Our role focuses on recovering ecosystem function and building fire resilience, and we work to connect landowners with other partners as appropriate. Please see below for information about our current fire recovery efforts as well as tools for wildfire preparedness and post-fire response.

2020 Fires: LNU (Hennessey) and Quail

  • Survey: Solano RCD is using grant funding from the CA Department of Conservation to survey remaining habitat impacts from 2020 fires in Solano County (LNU & Quail). Our staff will be conducting site visits beginning fall 2022. To be included in the survey, complete this form.
  • Vegetation Management and Restoration: Solano RCD is using a grant from the California Association of Resource Conservation Districts to address habitat impacts in creek corridors beginning Summer 2023. There is no cost-share requirement with this grant; projects will be built from the survey of 2020 LNU & Quail fire impacts. Please complete the survey intake form (same as above) to express interest in vegetation management & restoration work.

2021 & 2022 Fires: Solano RCD does not have formal programs in place for responding to fires in these years. However, we are always open for questions and concerns surrounding erosion control issues, conservation plans, and best management practices to address identified conservation concerns. Visit our Contact Us page to get in touch.
