Boater Outreach & Resources

We connect "clean and green" boating resources to users of waterways in Suisun City, Rio Vista, Vallejo, and at Lake Berryessa to help safeguard Solano County's drinking water and precious natural ecosystems.

  • Become a clean and green boater
    and protect local waterways

  • Find out how you can receive your free 2023 Boater Kit

  • Learn how to install oil absorbents properly

  • Meet Bilgee and engage with our outreach team

What We Do:

  • Conduct educational Dockwalker surveys in partnership with the
Bilge pad exchange systemBilge Pad Exchange StationCalifornia State Parks Division of Boating and Waterways and California Coastal Commission.

  • Distribute free boater kits that include oil absorbents, tide charts, ABCs of California Boating, a fuel bib, and more. Check back here later this season to fill out the form and receive your free 2023 Boater Kit.

  • Encourage boaters to install free oil absorbents and start capturing leaky oil immediately.

  • Manage a free oil absorbent exchange program to help boaters dispose of contaminated oil absorbents for recycling and receive a new absorbent right away.

  • Offer free educational resources on boating and preventing water pollution and the spread of invasive species.
